Ιδού,

Ἑνὸς μὲν, ὦνδρεςὦνδρες, ἀπολελῦσθαί μοι δοκῶ.

Οὐδεις γὰρ ἂν φαίη με μάττοντ᾽ ἐσθίειν.

Upon which the Scholiast remarks: εἰώθασι γὰρ ἅμα τῳ μάρτειν, ἐσθίειν.
