v. 822 f. from XII 99 f., vv. 831-4 from XI 329-332, v. 838 f. from XII 96 f. The borrowing of vv. 831-4 can hardly be ascribed to the same man who took Amphios (the son of Selagos) from V 612. Ignorance of the contents of the poem such as we find here is very rare; its occurrence therefore in what is probably a very late addition to the text deserves to be noticed.
