ξυγγενῆ γὰρ αὐτῷ τὸν φονέα εἶναι οὐ θέμις. Cf. Greg. Tur., II 40, where Clovis says: nec enim possum sanguinem parentum meorum effundere, quod fieri nefas est. But this is represented as mere hypocrisy; cf. II 41, ad fin.
