Spandugino, 144. Postel, iii. 65, says that the tithes (apparently those revenues not sold in the lump or left for individual collection) were collected by Christian receivers (tous Chrestiens), who delivered them to the Kadis, and these to the Sanjak, he to the Beylerbey, and the Beylerbey to the Defterdars.
