Duhem at the time of the publication of vol. iii of Le système du monde, 1915, knew the text of the Quaestiones naturales only at second hand. (On the uncertainty of the date of the Quaestiones naturales see Haskins, Studies, 1924, pp. 26–27.) Adelard was also the author of De eodem et diverso, written probably in his youth (before 1109).
