Τῷ σφενδονᾶν ἐντεταγμένω ἐθέλοντι.] "To him willing to be a slinger, being enrolled in the company (of slingers)." This is the reading of Schneider, and Dindorf, and Bornemann. Kühner and some others prefer ἐν τῷ τεταγμένῳ, "in the place appointed him."
