B. G. (Benjamin Guy) Babington translation

Epiphan. Ferdinand. Centum historiæ seu observationes et casus medici. Venet. 1621. fol. Hist. LXXXI. p. 259. Ferdinando, a physician in Messapia at the commencement of the seventeenth century, has collected, with much diligence, the various statements respecting the Tarantism of his time. He “was himself an eye witness of it,” (p. 265.) and is by far the most copious of all the old writers on this subject.
