The £10 payment has now become normal, but to the end of the reign is stated, usually but not invariably, as made up of £6 13s. 4d. with a ‘more’ sum of £3 6s. 8d., by way of Her Majesty’s ‘rewarde’, ‘speciall rewarde’, or ‘further liberalitie and rewarde’.
