Sig. A 3v. Farewell to Folly was entered on S. R. on 11 June 1587 (Arber, ii. 471), but the first extant edition of 1591 was probably the first published, and the use of the term ‘Martinize’ in the preface dates it as at least post-1589 (cf. Simpson, ii. 349).
