Extract in App. C, No. v. Symmes, 31, cites Peter Martyr Vermigli as representing the same point of view, but the passage on plays in his In librum Iudicum Commentarii (1563), c. 14, reproduced in his Loci Communes (1563), Classis ii, c. 12, is not very lucid.
