I cannot agree with those who have hitherto translated this chapter. The only grammatical interpretation which seems possible for the first sentence depends upon the sense given to the suffix tȧ. I take this as representing the second person singular. , the person at rest (Osiris) is the one invoked, and is here translated by the vocative.
