The Deipnosophists; or, Banquet of the Learned of Athenæus, Vol. 3 (of 3)

Note 82 — BOOK XIV.

Charles Duke Yonge translation

There is a difficulty again here, for there is no such line found in Homer; the line most like it is—

Καλὴ Καστιάνειρα, δέμας εἰκυῖα θεῆσι.—Iliad, viii. 305.

In which, however, there is no incorrectness or defect at all.
