The Roman chant exists in two principal collections: the Gradual, which contains the Order of the Celebration of Mass throughout the year; and the Antiphonale, which contains the chant for the canonical hours. These usually form two large folio volumes. Besides these there are smaller collections, the Rituale and Processionale, Hymnarium, etc.
