Note 121:A — BOOK-AUCTIONS AND SALES.
Reading edition
There were 4,313 lots in this sale, the total of which was £4,001. The catalogue has a very curious engraved frontispiece of an oak-tree felled, and persons bearing away branches, with a Greek motto signifying that, the oak being felled, every man gets wood.
