Whenever, in the New Testament, the coming of Christ is spoken of, there is generally, yea, universally, meant by it his last coming to judgment. “Then . . . they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matt. 24:30. “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him.” Rev. 1:7; also 1 Cor. 11:26.
