Note 424 — SOUTH AMERICAN TRIBES. (continued 2)

Reading edition

See the account in the interesting work of Father Cassani, Historia de la Provincia de la Compañia de Jesus del Nuevo Reyno de Granada, pp. 231, 232, 257, etc. (Madrid, 1741). He describes the Jiraras as having the same rites, customs and language as the Airicos on the river Ele, p. 96. II., p. 38, Madrid, 1745.)
