Note 130 — Chapter VII · HEATH STREET TO THE UPPER FLASK AND SPANIARDS.
Reading edition
Alfred Edward Chalon proposed to give, in 1859, to the inhabitants of Hampstead his own large collection of sketches, and his brother’s unsold works, and some endowment to uphold the collection, if they would provide suitable premises; but it fell through by their default, and he died on October 3, 1860.
