Note 249 — II. THE COLOSSIAN HERESY.
Reading edition
B.J. l.c. Compare what Philo says of the Therapeutes, Vit. Cont. § 11. On the attempt of Frankel (Zeitschr. p. 458) to resolve this worship, which Josephus states to be offered to the sun (εἰς αὐτόν), into the ordinary prayers of the Pharisaic Jew at day-break, see the appendix to this chapter.
