Note 26 — INTRODUCTION.
John Bowring translation
The Germans use their W for the Russian В, which latter is in fact the English v. This letter might in English, as in Russian, conveniently stand in the alphabet next to B. It is a second B, a letter which in all times has been constantly confounded with it. In Spanish the two letters are used almost indifferently.
