T. G. (Thomas Gamaliel) Bradford translation
A Virginia newspaper relates that an abolitionist, having fallen into the hands of a Committee of Vigilance, was stript naked, and stretched at his length on his face, when a cat was several times dragged across his bare back by the ruffians. A New York Journal repeats the statement with no other comment than some witticism.
