Note 385 — Chapter XII
Reading edition
The lease is incorporated in the Heminges-Osteler documents, which Mr. Wallace has translated from the Anglicized Latin. The original Latin text may be found in Martin, The Site of the Globe Playhouse of Shakespeare, pp. 161-62. Since, however, that text is faultily reproduced, I quote Mr. Wallace's translation.
