The words priest and bishop are employed, in the following translations and paraphrases, to correspond with ἱερεὺς and ἐπίσκοπος, which are used in the original without much apparent distinction. Chrysostom is speaking of the priesthood generally, and it is not easy to say which Order he has in his mind at any given moment.
