Whatever Biverde may mean. Possibly bel-verde, such, at least, is the title of Pellicciaio’s Madonna with the ‘beautiful green’ dress, at the Servite Church, Siena. The title may also be compared with ‘The Maid of the Bright-Green Kirtle,’ in Campbell’s ‘West Highland Tales.’ ↑
