Representative English Comedies, v. 1. From the beginnings to Shakespeare

Note 253 — JOHAN JOHAN

Reading edition

Tyb's 'aside' perhaps only means "if he is not scolding nothing can please him," i.e. he likes scolding better than anything else. But Tyb is at present half-afraid, and it is at least possible that she means "if I haven't set him scolding this time, no occasion for being angry will content him."
