Recollections of James Anthony Gardner, commander R.N. (1775–1814)

Note 124 — HIND, 28

Reading edition

This was evidently written with very imperfect knowledge of the facts in either case. From the naval point of view, the only good account of this expedition to Bantry Bay is that contributed by Admiral Colomb to the Journal of the R.U.S. Institution, xxxvi. 17 (Jan. 1892).
