Reading edition

The disproportion is practically greater than the ratios show; for the populations given take no account of suburbs or transients; adding the former alone, Berlin had an estimated population of 3,400,000 in 1910. The populations given are taken from the Statesman’s Year-Book 1913; the number of inscribed women as given does not always represent the same year as the population, but the difference is negligible.
