Reading edition
The most recent discussion of conditions in Germany is by Polizeirat Dr. Robert Heindl in No. 298, Berliner Tageblatt. Dr. Heindl proves the following points: (1) White Slave Traffic in innocent German girls into foreign lands is of the utmost rarity. (2) It is even questionable whether German ports are utilized for purposes of transit. (3) No single case of genuine White Slavery has been discovered in Saxony in the last ten years. The General Secretary of the German Evangelical League for the Promotion of Decency endorses these statements. Pastor Bohn, in Zeitschrift des deutsch-evangelischen Vereins, etc., July 15, 1913, p. 49.
