I regret to be obliged to reproduce the publication of Tischbein (Greek Vases I. 39). As regards style it is obviously inadequate. The vase has been examined by Mr Cecil Smith (Jahrbuch d. Inst. 1891, p. 120, note 17) and the reproduction of Tischbein is pronounced by him to be as regards subject-matter substantially correct.
