On his report is based the full discussion by Dr Winkler, ‘Unter-italische Unterweltsdarstellungen,’ Breslauer Philolog. Abhandlungen, Band III. Heft 5, 1888. I verified Dr Studniczka’s report of the inscriptions in 1902. Nothing further can be done till the vase is properly cleaned, and, now that the Naples Museum is under new direction, this, it may be hoped, will be done.
