Nikitsky, Delphisch-Epigraphische Studien p. 145, points out that in inscriptions two hereditary families of priests are traceable; these he thinks may correspond with the προφῆται or utterers whom he holds to be Apolline and the ὅσιοι who are manifestly Dionysiac. His book is in Russian, and I only know it at second hand.
