Note 135 — LIFE OF SERTORIUS.

George Long translation

Sintenis reads Domitius Calvisius. But it should be Calvinus: Calvinus was a cognomen of the Domitii. (See Livius, Epitome, lib. 90.) The person who is meant is L. Domitius Ahenobarbus. He fell in this battle on the Guadiana, where he was defeated by Hirtuleius. (Drumann, Geschichte Roms, Ahenobarbi, 19.)
