Fleay (Biographical Chronicle, i. p. 67) identifies Musidore with Lodge, and 'Hero's last Musaeus' with H. Petowe. The latter identification, which had already been proposed by Collier (Bibliographical Account, i. p. 130), is in all probability correct.
