Reading edition

He wrote the two following works: "The Last Forty Years: Canada since the Union of 1841," Toronto, 1881, two volumes, sm. 4to.; "The Story of the Upper Canada Rebellion," Toronto, 1885–86, two volumes, sm. 4to. He also edited the "Canadian Portrait Gallery," Toronto, 1880–81.
