The facts for this life are taken, where no other reference is given, from a scarce work, entitled, “La première face du Janus François, par Jean Aimes de Chavigny Beaunois, 1594.” It is found in the Library at Paris; but not in the British Museum. Fortunately M. le Pelletier gives an almost literal transcript of this “Brief discours sur la vie de M. Michel de Nostredame.”
