Note 46 — Library of London.
Reading edition
In this address Tyndale complains heavily of George Joye, for having in his previous impression of the same year, altered Tyndale’s translation in many important instances, particularly in rejecting the word resurrection, and, concealing his own name, still uttering it as Tyndale’s genuine translation. He also gives at length the Colophon of Joye’s edition, in order that it might be distinguished from his own.
