We ought perhaps to inform the reader that many able scholars render the last clause of Galatians v. 17 thus: “In order that ye may not do the things that ye would.” We assuredly believe this rendering to be in full keeping with the spirit of the context; though we are each day more convinced of the unrivaled excellence of our precious English Bible.
