Note 665 — Chapter IV
Reading edition
The Canadian Antiquarian (iv. 76) describes an old MS. concerning the government of the English plantations in America, which is preserved in the library at Ottawa, and is supposed to have been written “by a Virginian in 1699, Mr. Blaire or B. Hamson [? Harrison], Jr.” Cf. on Blair, E. D. Neill’s Virginia Colonial Clergy. Can this be the account elsewhere referred to, and printed in the Mass. Hist. Collections, vol. v.? See Scribner’s Monthly, Nov., 1875, p. 4.
