Reading edition

In his first expedition to seek for traces of Sir John Franklin, 1860-1862, our countryman, Captain Charles F. Hall, obtained and brought home numerous relics of Frobisher’s voyages. Some of these were sent to England, and others are deposited in the National Museum at Washington. See Hall’s Arctic Researches, passim; Collinson’s Three Voyages, etc., Appendix; and the Semi-Annual Report of the Council of the American Antiquarian Society, October, 1882.
