Pigafetta himself mentions a manuscript, Uno libro scripto de tutti le cose passate de giorno in giorno nel viaggio, written by his own hand, and presented by him to Charles the Fifth. Harrisse thinks it was written in French, and describes the manuscripts, Bibl. Amer. Vet. Add., pp. xxx-xxxiii.
