Henry himself appears to have added some study of Physic to his other pursuits; among the Sloane MSS. in the British Museum there are several receipts invented by the king in conjunction with Doctors Butt and Chambers; the familiarity of the former with Henry is shown by Shakspeare, Hen. 8th, Act. 4. Scene 2.
