Luther, vol. 3 of 6

Note 112 — Chapter XV

E. M. Lamond translation

In a Latin memorandum which Enders with some probability assigns to the latter half of August, 1531, “Briefwechsel,” 9, p. 76: “Fiat iustitia et pereat mundus; pacem enim ad ima tartara relegandam esse dico, quæ cum evangelii iactura redimitur.” There are no grounds for doubting Luther’s authorship, but the original was probably written in German.
