Note 107 — Chapter IX

Reading edition

In 1778 John Drigue Lernoult and another let the house to Lewis Miol, and a schedule was then drawn up which I have seen. Everything is most carefully noted from the arch in the hall ‘with fluted columns and carved capitals,’ to the ‘battlement wall about 2 feet 6 inches high, coped with stone cornice.’ At that time there was a warehouse with a loft over it, and a crane, but its position is not made clear.

Explore with AITake your curiosity a little further.
