I do not know where I obtained this. In Dr. Rees’s Cyclopedia, Art. Discharge, a pipe of 1 inch diameter, at a depth of 4 feet, is said to discharge 8,135 cubic feet per minute, which would give 76 per second, with a pipe of ¾ of an inch.
