Note 7 — LECTURE X. The Transition.

Reading edition

The original church at Lyminge, which is said to have been built by the sister of Eadbald, is known only by its foundations. It seems to have had three eastern and one western apse. It is well worthy of careful attention. It seems to have been erected on the site of a large Roman Villa. (G. G. S. 1878.)
