There is little mention of Lady Jane’s mother in contemporary records. But the nature of the woman, and her heritage of Tudor blood, is sufficiently indicated by the fact that not a fortnight after her husband had been executed, and about a month after Lady Jane’s death she bestowed herself in marriage upon her equerry.
