The list of names contained in Appendix A was collected from articles, papers, and books written concerning the colony and does not represent any special investigation in unprinted sources. “The story of Old French Town” in the Dallas News, March 26, 1922; and also Santerre, op. cit., are perhaps the best sources available for names.
