The passages in The Retvrne from Pernassus (see p. xi.) “What, M. Kempe, how doth the Emperour of Germany?” and “Welcome, M. Kempe, from dancing the morrice ouer the Alpes,” are, I conceive, only sportive allusions to his journey to Norwich.
