Note 250 — Chapter V · OF THE ANCIENT PLACES ON THE SOUTHERN COAST OF ASIA MINOR.
Reading edition
Livy (l. 33. c. 20.) says: “Nephelida promontorium Ciliciæ, inclitum fœdere antiquo Atheniensium.” What treaty this was it is difficult to discover—not the treaty of Cimon with the Persians; for according to that, the Chelidonian promontory was the point beyond which the Persians were forbidden to sail.
