Note 50 — Chapter II · ILLUSTRATION OF THE ANCIENT GEOGRAPHY OF THE CENTRAL PART OF ASIA MINOR.
Reading edition
Of pasture there appears from Cicero to have been a great abundance in Asia Minor, even when the country was still famous for the exuberance of its agricultural productions. But probably even as early as the time of Cicero, Asia had suffered from the wars and military despotism of the Romans.
