Allá ellos lo arreglaron, They settled it among themselves. Allá in this and similar expressions has not entirely lost its usual connotations of direction and motion. It indicates the throwing off of responsibility and the attaching it to some one else. Cf. page 7, note 4, and page 21, note 3.
